MEMBERSHIP SERVICES
A large amount of information for members is available in the REFERENCE section on our website. This includes entry forms, dressage tests and other paperwork which you can download and print out.

GIFT MEMBERSHIP
Why not give a gift of BHDTA membership to someone. Available for all membership categories. We will send you a printed certificate for a year's membership. Apply in the normal way, asking for a gift membership and specify the address you wish your certificate sent to.

CARRIAGE DRIVING MAGAZINE
 The only magazine dedicated entirely to sport and recreation with the harness horse. Published monthly, it includes a two-page BHDTA Official News section. Carriage Driving Magazine offer a 10% discount on their annual subscription to all BHDTA members. Visit www.carriage-driving.com
 

2010 MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
CATEGORY COST
Full Member
Can drive and groom at National driving trials. Has full legal liability insurance at home and at events, 365 days a year. Receives BHDTA Yearbook and newsletters, can vote and attend BHDTA A.G.M. and Conference.		 £135
Introductory Full Member
Same privileges as full member, but for the first year of membership only. Those whose membership has lapsed cannot re-join as introductory members for a second time.		 £70
Associate Member / Club Competitor
Can drive at Club events and National Qualifiers. Can groom at National events. Has 365 day legal liability insurance cover. Receives BHDTA Yearbook and newsletters, can vote and attend A.G.M. and Conference.		 £54
Associate member / Club Competitor for 6 months
Same privileges as Associate / Club membership, but only runs from 1st July to 31st December		 £42
Club Competitor (restricted)
Can groom at National events and drive at Club events and Novice Qualifiers. Only insured while at National or Club events. Receives yearbook and newsletters, can attend the Conference but cannot vote.		 £40
Young Member (14 to 21 yrs)
Same privileges as full member, until the end of the year in which they attain their 21st birthday. Young Drivers may join the BHDTA from 1st January in the year in which they attain their 14th birthday.		 £54
Young Member - Training (10 to 16 yrs)
A membership category for 10-16 year olds, which offers third party legal liability insurance only at BHDTA training clinics. Receives yearbook and newsletters, can attend the Conference but cannot vote.		 £10
Marathon Groom
Can groom at National events, but not compete. Only insured as a groom. Receives Yearbook and newsletters and can attend Conference, but cannot vote. 		£30
Marathon Groom (Single event)
Only insured and allowed to groom at one specified National or Regional event in a season. To groom at a second event, must have annual membership.		 £10
Supporter
Receives BHDTA Yearbook and newsletters and can attend the Annual Conference.		 £27
COMBINED MEMBERSHIPS
All subscribers in these categories must be enrolled at the same time.
Full Member plus Associate
Same privileges as Full / Associate members, but at a discounted rate for 2 memberships. Must be both at the same address and will only receive one copy of the Yearbook and newsletter.		 £174
Associate Couple
Same privileges as Associate members, but at a discounted rate for 2 memberships. Must be both at the same address and will only receive one copy of the Yearbook and newsletter.		 £94
Overseas surcharge
There is a surcharge for Subscribers in NON-EUROPEAN countries to cover airmail.		 £12
  1. All subscriptions run from 1st January to 31st December
  2. It is compulsory for all Marathon Grooms at National Horse Driving Trials to be members of The British Horse Driving Trials Association. This can be in any category EXCEPT Supporter.
  3. Insurance is valid only for UK and Ireland residents
