| FEI Passport surcharge 26 January 2006 The BEF have introduced a surcharge for FEI passports that have to be turned around quickly. In the past for example, someone would turn up at our office with a passport that needed revalidating and was needed for the next day because they were leaving for an International competition. We would dash over to the BEF and get it validated and returned the stamped passport to the owner. The BEF now charge £50 + VAT (£58.75) for a passport to be turned around in 48 hours. Any normal passport application can now take up to 3 or 4 weeks to turn around. They will also now charge £25 per Section Nine insertion. Unfortunately, we have to pass these surcharges on to the passport holder, so please make sure you have your passport up to date well in advance of any international competition. |
