It is with great sadness we report that the Dutch Grade I driver, Jaap Verboom passed away on April 29th 2007 at the age of 48.

Jaap was in 2001 the Dutch pony pair Champion. His world changed when he’s suffered a stroke, but Jaap fought his way back and was selected for the World Championships for Disabled drivers 2004 at Hopetoun, where he started with his ponies Lord W and Beauty W and won the silver medal for dressage.

We remember Jaap as a sporty and involved member of the Dutch Equestrian Driving Team with great interested for those who surround him. We wish his family strength with the loss of Jaap.
