Helmut Schröder

We have heard the very sad news that harness maker Helmut Schröder died tragically in an accident at his home in Münster, Germany. It seems that he may have been accidentally electrocuted whilst in his cellar (there was apparently some water on the floor).

It really is tragic - he was a delightful man and was very loyal to British events with his trade stand. He was also, of course, extremely generous with prizes of harness at the National Championships.
