Susie Driver
1968 - 2010

Susie passed away, peacefully, on January 8th 2010, after a long battle with cancer.

She was the long-time partner of Philip Bateman, our international T.D., meeting him at Tatton Park in 1997 under the watchful eye of the late Joe Pullen.

In April 1998 she came to Thoresby Hall with the late Garth Maddox to find Philip looking down a hole in view of replacing a large post. She remarked, "So this is how you spend Summer, is it?" Susie became a great support to Philip at most events when he was T.D., travelling to Italy, Spain, France, Sweden, Denmark, and Austria.

Susie fought her illness very positively and was to be greatly admired. Philip and Susie stayed with me many times, the last time was March 2009, when Philip took the Stewards Clinic with Susie helping to set up the projector etc. Her goal at that time was to attend the Royal Windsor Horse Show in May. This she achieved, spending time in the Supporters Tent.

Susie was an accountant with Pets at Home for 15 years.

Our deepest sympathy goes to Philip and Susie’s family.
