InformationTucker has been driving since his childhood, first with horse pairs and, from 1994 with horse teams. He has been driving away with top honours nationally and internationally for over a decade. The final cones phase is Johnson's forte, and as a result he's been dubbed the "King of Cones."

In 1990, Johnson's victories included the Pairs Division title at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in England, and at the Fair Hill International, where he was the only Advanced driver with a clear obstacle (cones) round. In 1998 Johnson won two of the three selection finals and placed second in the final trail.

In 1991, Johnson had an extremely successful year, winning the USET Pairs Championship and driving on the U.S. Gold Medal Team at the World Pair Driving Championship in Zwettl, Austria.

In 1995, Johnson won the Advanced Four-In-Hand at Live Oak. In 1993, Johnson secured his berth on the USET's World Pair Driving Championship squad by placing first in three selection trials, and third at the final selection trial held at the USET Festival of Champions.

Johnson put in many solid performances in 1997, including his win in the Cosequin/USET Four-In-Hand Championship at the Fair Hill International. He was also victorious at the Myopia Driving Event in Massachusetts. In addition, Johnson earned second place finishes at both Yellowframe Farm and Live Oak.

In 1998, Johnson was the top U.S. finisher at the World Equestrian Games, coming in fifth. He was named USET Athlete of the Month in both August and October and was named Driving Horseman of the Year by the Chronicle of the Horse.

American four-in-hand champion in '97, '98, 99 and 2000. Second in 2001 Ch. Multiple wins at US driving events. Third in the FEI Top Driver Award '99, second in '00.

Married to Charlotte, they have two sons - Sam (born 1996) and Freddy (born 1998) and daughter Emma (born 2001). They live in Florida from January to September every year.
