IJsbrand is sponsored by The Greenery, an international import and export company in vegetables, flowers and fruits. He is married to Paulien and they have 4 children - Jeanette, Bram, Edith and Lianne. They run a riding and driving school in Schipluiden (Holland).

IJsbrand is trainer of the Dutch pair selection. Member of the golden team in Rome 1998, silver medallist individual and team in Wolfsburg 2000. 17 times Dutch Champion (1983, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1999, 2000 and 2002). Fourth place in first World Cup Driving 2001/2002.
