Items stolen in 2007
Carriages and Trailer
Stolen on the night of Wednesday 14th November 2007. They were only after carriages as they moved a ride-on mower out of the way to get to one. They knew exactly what they were after as they took all the accessories for the Dartmoor and left behind other bits belonging to different vehicles that were in a different location. We think they only took the trailer as a means to taking one of the carriages.

The details are as follows:

Dartmoor Spirit – Burgundy with cream coach lines and Brass furniture. To fit 13.2hh pony as single, or smaller pony pair. The most distinguishing feature on the vehicle is that it is the only Dartmoor to have been fitted with grease nipples on the shackle pins (ends of the springs).

Sierakowski Sport Break – presentation vehicle, to fit 13.2hh pony pair. Black with silver coach lines, and silver furniture. Serial number 178-05. This sport break has a dashboard which I believe, most don’t.

Small trailer – Brenderup Bravo 750kg trailer serial number 780331 complete with winch on the front and boards screwed to the floor at the edge.

If you hear anything on any of the above please contact Hampshire Police on 02380 674111. Crime number 44070529398.

Heather Nestel, secretary of the Weald Harness Club had her Polish-made black pony marathon carriage stolen from her premises near Ashford Kent on April the 18th. The carriage is in good condition, black with silver edging except swingle tree and shafts which are shot silver. It has 3 distinctive items of wear.
1. The circular rubber mounting step is missing on the near side.
2. The shafts and swingle tree are painted with a shot silver paint which has rubbed off behind the tugs leaving a metal surface which has been tidied up by covering it with black tape which is also worn in places.
3. The seat has been reversed as can be seen from the colour on the zilco binding it to the carriage which is not sewn in centrally.
